Barcelona Ready for Historic Fixture at Renovated Camp Nou on Saturday
Barça revealed their first game will take place at the partially upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend. The club will host the Basque side in the Spanish league 30 months following their departure so building work could begin.
“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Not all seats will be available with 45,401 fans can be present based on approved permits. Once fully finished, the Camp Nou is due to hold over 104,000 attendees, a rise from the old capacity. The club said recent additions comprise a new players’ tunnel and new dressing rooms.
Preparatory Events
The club conducted a fan-accessible workout at the Camp Nou earlier this month. The club said approval is being pursued from European football’s governing body to host the next European match against Eintracht Frankfurt on 9 December at Camp Nou. Previous fixtures took place in the temporary ground.
